Interesting read and while I agree with your point that “that someones” doesn’t have to be you I feel like you’re putting all “those people and all those tasks that need to get done” into one pile.

Everyone can follow their dreams but everyone has a different dream. Not everyone wants to start a business, start painting or do nothing all day. The latter is not even a dream :) It’s about knowing who you are and what you want and understanding that you can pursue your dream even if it’s a career choice. Or being a mom. Some people dream about that.

Everyone can pursue their dreams. Why not? It can be taking pictures of flowers every day after work? I think you might have confused “pursuing a dream” with something extraordinary as building a million dollar company or becoming a grand published author. It doesn’t have to be that.

Another important point is that “raising babies, paying taxes and picking garbage” is not not pursuing your dream. It’s all part of life and our responsibilities as people who live in a society. It’s all part of our life and can be part of our dream. If I have to pick up the garbage, does it mean I can’t pursue my dream? All those things you mention do not crash with your dreams. In fact, they might enhance your experience, if you allow it! :)

cheers
